The Apple Store crashed earlier this morning due to a reported 50,000 iPads that were pre-ordered within the first 2-hours of it being available. They came to this number from an earlier “report that showed two orders placed about 30 minutes apart reflected Order IDs that were about 10,000 apart.” Are these estimates accurate? Hard to say. Based on Twitter chatter during the morning hours today, plenty of people admitted to placing orders for two iPads. [via IW ]
