Squeez Bacon from ThinkGeek “requires no preservatives or other additives; each serving is as healthy as real bacon, and equivalent to 4 premium slices of bacon.” Video after the break. You can put it on sandwiches, pizza, pastas, bacon, soups, pies, eat it hot or cold, substitute it for bacon in your recipes, or even eat it right out of the tube like we do! If it’s edible, it’s better with Squeez Bacon. [via ThinkGeek ]

Google has unveiled a new GMail Autopilot feature that basically takes care of all those “you’ve won something” messages. Simply let Autopilot “read a sampling of your conversations (more than 100 is ideal), then adjust a few simple settings and it will do the rest.” Project page . Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve been meaning to update my resume, I remember hearing something about Google opening a moonbase a little while back. [via OhGizmo ]

Brick master Ricardo Oliviera used a countless number of LEGO pieces to build “a mini-theater that can actually project film on its minuscule screen.” Continue reading to see it in-action. While its three-frame-per-second frame rate isn’t quite the traditional 24fps of film, it’s way-cool nonetheless. [via Dvice ]

Yes, the mechanical heart shown in this commercial was made “entirely from Sony gear, including parts from BRAVIA TVs, Blu-ray players, VAIO laptops, Cybershot cameras, PS3s, and even the odd Walkman.” Continue reading to watch. As much as we’d like this to be a still from a new, secretly-in-development Cronenberg movie, it’s actually an image of the nightmare-inducing mechanical heart that stars in a new series of Sony ads. Before GMail, Google Docs, and even the first version of Google, there was Google Classic. Unsurprisingly, these hand-delivered search results take approximately 30-days to reach you. This has a decidedly ’40s-’50s aesthetic, but still it would have been considered an incredible service to fill out a post card with a research query and in a month or so, receive a packet of sourced information from around the world on your topic, for free. In this clip, you’ll see a demo of an Arduino-linked web server, connected to a Mazda RX-8 that’s controlled by the iPod Touch — “it can be started, stopped, locked/unlocked [and] current location shown on Google Maps, [with] engine parameters displayed.” Video after the break. With this setup the user can now open doors, start the engine, monitor all of the car stats such as RPM and if that isn’t enough you can even see where the car is on a Google map.
